Woodinville Wine Country’s “Go To” Dinner Hack – Tuesday Recipe and Wine Pairing

Restaurant food can get a bad rap for being calorie filled or unhealthy, but in Woodinville we have over a dozen restaurants that pride themselves on healthy local fare. A quick stop at Village Wines in the heart of Hollywood District is a great go to for those of us on the run.

Vineyard Chicken Salad (order the chicken on the side)
Flatbread Pizza with Procuitto, Olives, Artichoke & Sun Dried Tomatoes (1/2 price on Mondays and many flavors to choose from)
One bottle of wine to GO (ask the staff for a recommendation – remember to “Buy Local” with one of their 100’s of Woodinville Wineries in stock)

Wine Pairing: White Wines with zesty citrus notes have the zing necessary to balance tart vinaigrettes but for some of us that prefer red, a more acidic red like Pinot Noir has a freshness to it, and with the heartiness of the cheese and the walnuts, the tannic properties of some of our Woodinville reds this salad will have met its perfect foil.

Come home – plate up and Voila – thank you Woodinville Wine Country!
