All 5k participants will receive a finisher’s medal, courtesy of NW Trophy & Award and the first 150 runners to finish will receive a swag bag, courtesy of Woodin Creek Village! Every participant over the age of 21 will receive a ticket for a complimentary beer after the 5k.

(October 31, 2017) — Woodinville Wine Country’s annual St. Nick’s holiday celebration welcomes wine lovers from around the Northwest to celebrate 15 years of holiday fun with a premier food and wine experience, kicking off on Thursday, Nov. 30, and ending with the St. Nick’s Annual Open House Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2-3.

This year, St. Nick’s welcomes nationally acclaimed and award-winning guest chef, Justin Severino. Severino is a four-time James Beard Foundation award nominee for “Best Chef Mid-Atlantic,” the 2014 and 2015 winner of Food & Wine magazine’s “The People’s Best New Chef Mid-Atlantic” and is the chef and co-owner of Cure and Morcilla, two premier restaurants in Pittsburgh, PA. Severino teams up with Chef Seth Fernald, executive chef at Novelty Hill Januik winery, for this special event where they will highlight their passion for small plates. On Thursday, Nov. 30, a private dinner featuring Chef Severino will be held at Betz Family Winery. Tickets are $195 per seat.

            “As this is our 15th year hosting St. Nicks, we wanted to provide an enhanced experience to give new and returning guests an expanded culinary experience that truly highlights the incredible caliber of wines found here in Woodinville,” said Sandra Lee, executive director of Woodinville Wine Country. “Having Chef Fernald and Chef Severino’s collaboration as a central part of this year’s St. Nick’s festivities is the perfect way to celebrate the event’s 15th anniversary.”

            This year’s St. Nick’s menu highlights Chef Severino’s extensive charcuterie experience and Italian influence while showcasing Chef Fernald’s flair for Pacific Northwest cuisine and local ingredients. Dishes include duck rillette, poached shrimp, ciccioli and oyster escabeche“It’s always exciting bringing guest chefs from around the world to Woodinville Wine Country,” said Chef Seth Fernald of Novelty Hill Januik. “We had a fun time planning the menu and bringing together our culinary points of view. The menu truly plays to both of our strengths and pairs well with the spectacular Washington wine featured at the event.”

            While sampling bites from this collaborative menu, guests will get the opportunity to mingle with the chefs and sample wines from more than 30 Washington wineries including DeLille Cellars, Matthews Winery, J. Bookwalter and Patterson Cellars.

Come join FossilEra at Davenport Cellars in Woodinville for a weekend to sip and discover! October 13-15, FossilEra will be showcasing stunning fossil and mineral specimens, many of which will be available for purchase. Discover incredible spiny trilobites, giant fossil megalodon teeth, awe inspiring dinosaur bones and deep purple amethyst clusters. There will also be a dig area for kids to search for their own fossils to keep.


In addition to the FossilEra displays, Davenport Cellars will be offering wine tastings including the Thirsty Trilobite White and the Amethyst Splash Red. Small plates, salads, sandwiches will also be available.

Dates Announced for 2018 Taste Washington Festival, Kicking Off Washington State Wine Month

Seattle’s premier wine and food festival, Taste Washington returns March 22-25, 2018

SEATTLE (August 1) – Coming off its biggest year ever, Taste Washington will be back for another four-day festival March 22-25, 2018. The announcement comes as we raise a glass to Washington State Wine Month, a month-long celebration featuring wine promotions and special offers at participating retailers, hotels, restaurants and tasting rooms across the state.

This past March, the 20th anniversary celebration drew more than 7,000 attendees – a festival record. The Grand Tasting poured over 675 wines, served bites from 65 restaurants – honoring Capital Grille as 2017 Best Bite award – and shucked 9,600 oysters! Planning for 2018 has begun and will include popular events including the Grand Tasting, educational seminars led by industry leaders, the Red and White Party, Taste Washington on the Farm, and the New Vintage. Tickets to the 21st annual Taste Washington will go on sale December 1, 2017 at www.tastewashington.org.

This year’s event will help benefit Ben’s Fund.  Ben’s Fund is helping children with autism reach their full potential. 

The Ben’s Fund mission is to provide grant opportunities to families across Washington state who need financial assistance with requests related specifically to their child’s autism spectrum disorder treatments.

Ben’s Fund was launched in 2012 by Seahawks Executive Vice President & General Manager, John Schneider and wife Traci in honor of their son Ben, who was diagnosed with autism when he was three years old.

This year we have an outstanding panel of celebrity judges including:
